Hii, I'm Lorenz, a photographer based in the San Francisco Bay Area with a passion for creating cinematic, emotional imagery that tells authentic stories.

Photography is where my technical curiosity and artistic vision meet. I'm endlessly fascinated by cameras, lenses, optics, lighting, color science, and the technology behind image creation. I enjoy studying not only how a photograph is captured, but why certain compositions, focal lengths, lighting conditions, and visual techniques evoke emotion. Every piece of equipment is simply another tool that helps me tell a story more honestly and beautifully.

But photography is about far more than technical perfection.

What inspires me most is creating images that feel different—photographs that stop people for a moment, make them feel something, and reveal beauty from perspectives they may have never considered. I look for dramatic light, genuine emotion, quiet moments, and compositions that go beyond the expected. Rather than simply documenting an event, I strive to create images that feel cinematic, timeless, and full of atmosphere.

Whether I'm photographing a wedding, a surprise proposal, a family session, a live performance, or an intimate portrait, my goal is always the same: to capture not just what happened, but what it felt like to be there. Some of my favorite images are the ones that happen between the planned moments—the glance, the laughter, the anticipation, the silence before the celebration.

Every session is a collaboration. I take the time to understand who you are and what makes your story unique, while giving you the freedom to simply be yourself. Sometimes that means quietly blending into the background as moments unfold naturally. Other times it means thinking outside the box, experimenting with perspective, movement, reflections, or light to create something unexpected.
